A popular tourist destination, the monolithic rock is adjacent to the beach and accessible by foot at low tide. One is located at Pacific City the other is located at Cannon Beach. The tide time changes daily and many of the hotels provided a calendar of daily high/low tides so you can plan. We've found this to be our destination spot for many years, scheduled for another visit in April.

I suggest you go there to get up close and personal for start fish, ect. However, most of Haystck Rock itself is a bird sanctuary and visitors cannot go beyond a certain point.

You can walk straight south along the beach, about a mile to get to it. Check the tide tables for Canon Beach Oregon. We were out around 7:00 a.m. and the tide was still going out.
