I believe you’re correct, I know I doubted someone here before on this issue, but I recently did some router reconfiguration and when my nest guard was connected to 5Ghz I too experienced the Offline issue. This is usually the case if the Nest service is not working or is under maintenance. Weird thing is I have cellular backup and it still wouldn’t allow me to configure my security system over cellular. I tried restarting the guard (holding 5) and resetting the wireless but nothing.
