Is it REALLY worth it? Also reliability is huge. I'd buy the XP41K, far superior machine in every way, I rode Frank's all day this past Sunday...Wow !! So you lose the reservoir. My question is would it be a good move to do that? When you loose so much power at high altitudes it is nice. Xp 1000 is way to long only good for open dunes and desert IMO. The 900S has almost 50% more hp 75 total than the 800S 55hp, then the 1000S has 100hp! The different tranny and secondary clutch and the extra hp seem worth the price difference to me. The 1000S is the same width as the 900S.

I have a 900xp 4 and on Some of the rock climbs we do I get high centered quiet a bit. To deep on my 900 to make that choice now. 2016 900S I believe they dropped the Podium X shocks and went with Just the Podium. Great Videos.

Looking to upgrade my 800 4 to one or the other. It's not simply just the 25 more horsepower. Good regular maintenance is the key. i think the 1000 would of been a little too long. I believe there is only a 1500$ difference on msrp. I seen on the 2016 900s white lighting you lose the resivors.

Honestly, I just don't see 23+ thousand dollars worth of machine. Especially with the tranny and clutch (which I am assuming is better, stronger, etc than the 900???????). If you step up to the Xp1000 then its 110hp. If I were buying today I feel sure I would pick the 1000S. I'm not sure it's 4-5 thousand better than my XP4900 though? Run what your wallet can afford and your ego will allow!! I have been researching the 2016 900S and the 2016 1000S. so if you want the more power and suspension i'd go for the 1000. I considered the 1000s but I mostly do trails and woods riding so I figured the 900 would be fine for my riding style.

Till the shock issue is confirmed fixed and gone, i wouldnt buy any the 2 or 4 seat 1000. Transmission looks to be something different from the 15 1000 and 15 900 S as they all three are different part numbers. JB, I also had a 800 and bought it at a real good price. I like the idea of seats, stronger steering wheel setup, power, doors, suspension, etc. It is too long for Michigan trails for me. JavaScript is disabled.
